What are your views on the stuff anyone use and think it helps?

LOL I have some, I use to be big on all the sprays also.  Save your money, IMO its a gimmick.  The only way to beat there nose is to play the wind.

I have been busted know matter what I have tried.

Other's will disagree of course so use your own judgement but I will second Horner's opinion.

Each must decide themselves but it's just one more thing I don't feel I need to mess with.

The carbon clothes are not worth the $$$, they "might" work to "some extent" for a short while, then they are worthless.  It is impossible to reactivate them as the manufacturers claim.  There is a lawsuit against the manufacturers do to that fact.

The undergarments with silver or other antimicrobial agents.....I think those are a better product.  They don't completely eliminate your odor, but from experience they do seem to keep it down when you're sweating.  Basically, it kills the bacteria when your sweat is absorbed by the garment.

God made the best scent eliminator....a nice straight wind.  It's caused the demise of countless more animals than any of the above.  

I got busted just last Wednesday with a pair of scent controlled pants, jacket, rubber boots, and facemask.  As soon as the deer got in front of the wind, bam, stopped and the nose went into the air.  OH did I mention I sprayed down too??  I think it CAN help in certain situations.  It CAN mask SOME scent, but the only way to beat 'em is the wind.  My suggestion is if you find it on clearance, sure (all mine stuff was bought out of Cabela's Bargain Cave), but full price... HA.  Never.

I believe that you can never compleatly fool there nose you have to hunt the wind , carbon clothes are a fad that is not fool proof , I think for my money I will wash my hunting gear with sent free soap..wash myself with sent free soap ,, not cook bacon in hunting gear , or smoke ,, my odds just went up but a whitetails nose is super      

Not sure where I read it, but there was a fella who did several tests using a K-9 dog. Without boring you (and possibly not getting all the facts right), the dog was able to track and find the tester in every test. One of the tests involved "total scent control" with rubber boots, sprays, masks, carbon clothes.

Save your money and hunt into the wind.

I agree.  The stuff doesn't work.  

But here's a hypothetical question. If it did work.  If it was 100% effective in blocking human scent, would you consider it fair chase to use it?  

Fair chase has a lot of definitions.  One is that the animal has to have a reasonable chance for escape.  Thus, hunting behind high fences is not considered fair chase.  Other, more expansive definitions would regard as unfair chase anything that takes unfair advantage of the animal.  Shooting an animal caught in a fence, for example, or swimming, or with its antlers locked with another, etc.  Would such a garment, if it existed, be taking unfair advantage of the animal?

An terrible waste of good money.  You will be much better off using the wind.  I would sooner try clorophyl tablets, or my favorite...rub some fresh garlic on your arm..on the inside opposite the elbow.  It will permeate your blood stream and you will smell like the down draft from Olive Garden.

Play the wind, and if you want to invest in good hunting clothing, wear wool. Your body will trap less perspiration and produce less odor causing bacteria, not to mention, it lasts a long time, breathes, will keep you warm if wet, etc, etc. Nature seems to provide all we need. We just need to use it as intended.

I don't care if it works or not. Even if it did work, I personally wouldn't use it.

220 dollars worth of comfortable hunting clothing is all it got me.

How are those boys going to put on those hunting shows if you quit buying those scent lock clothes and the buck roar, soap, expensive broadheads, boots, grunt tube, and the latest in deer cocaine.  

Everybody agrees so I will keep my money and buy something else. I think Orion made a very good point.
