In Georgia, where I assume he was hunting, you cannot bait bears, and while there are a good many, it's very steep, difficult terrain, the bears are spread out, and there's a lot of human activity in even the remotest places so these bears are shy to say the least.

Taking a fair chase adult bear in Georgia with trad gear is quite the accomplishment and he should justifiably be very proud.

Yea Ray it was North Ga. Bear I did alot of scouting this summer

...and this is his second year in a row taking one with a longbow!!

Nice looking bear, Kentucky now has a very limited Bear season in a couple of counties. I would love to get a home state Bear! I'll keep dreaming for now!
