I have never used a deer call. But this year I'm looking to learn how to use one. So I need some advice on two things.

1. What call to get?
2. Good DVD to teach me how to use it.

Any help would be appreciated.
"Quit, don't quit? Noodles, don't noodles? You are too concerned about what was and what will be. There is a saying: yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the "present." - Oogway (Kung Fu Panda)

Get a grunt tube-one that has adjustable tone. I usually set mine on the "young buck" setting.
Get a can type bleat call. Those two will allow you to make most of the important calls, for most of the hunting situations.

Not sure what DVD to suggest...
"I lost arrows and didnt even shoot at a rabbit" Charlie after the Island of Trees.

Deep grunt call has worked well in pre & early rut. Don't overcall. Bending or shaping the reed will change the tone.

Trad is 60% mental & about 40% mental.

Bob, get the EZ Grunter from Hunters Specialties, and the Can.

Trust me....  :bigsmyl:
