I got the chance to go to Morrison Archery over the weekend to pick up my new Shawnee and was totally amazed..I'm still in shock! I had the pleasure to see some of the finest bows I've ever seen in one place. Did I say I  was in shock, there were some of the most beautiful bows with a lot of wood combo's that I've never seen, again totally amazed! I guess I don't have much of an imagination when it comes to woods, I'm stuck on cocobolo and ebony but when I saw that black and white ebony ILF bow with water snake skins that finished me off. Thought I'd died and gone to bow heaven. Can't get those ILF risers out of my mind, gotta have one. Bob and his lovely wife were gracious host and I'd like to thank them for letting me into their home, not a nicer couple on the planet.  My new Shawnee is 64" 45@28 gaboon ebony with a cocobolo flare, carbon and foam limbs and shoots lites out. I haven't taken any pics yet but here's one that Bob had sent me. Enjoy, Rich.

I whole heartedly agree on both counts. Bob is a really great guy and his bows are awesome. My wife and I both have one. I visited his place a couple years ago and he does great work.

My problem is that I can't buy just one because those Morrisons are so beautiful and shoot so well. I am reminded of the cartoon where the executive is sent a new secretary by the personnel department who is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. When he sees her all he can say is, "And she types too!!!!????" I feel that way about Bob's beautiful bows -- they shoot too, and do so as well as any bow made. Furthermore, Bob and Barb are treasures themselves. The archery community is darn lucky to have the Morrisons among us!

Amar911,
That is a problem with Bob's bows. Can't have just one.A buddy of mine came over to shoot one of my morrisons last year and now he owns 3 of Bob's bows.
Your best shot is only as good as your next one!

I shut my eyes Sunday evening and my Morrison Cheyenne did the rest. Great bows and your's is a true beauty.

Very nice. Just one thing though...now I'll probably get jumped or edited for this...but how come the limbs don't look like they fit the riser. Do you know what I mean? Where they attach to the riser it has always looked like the limbs should fill in or cover the whole area that is flat on the riser and not just the lower area....just an observation...that I probably should have kept to myself I guess. Bob builds a great bow. I just always wondered why the limbs on the Cheyenne and the Shawnee don't fit the riser or match up to the riser like they are made for each other...but what do I know...

The black and white ebony one isn't for a two-letter dude in Georgia is it (JC?)

JC's Black and White ebony is still drying. It should be ready by next summer. By then I should have that limb to riser thing all flowing together. Of course everyone will have to buy a new bow, new limbs will not fit on the old riser and the new riser will not accept old limbs and will not shoot any better. Oh well, you can't satisfy everyone, but we keep trying.

Snag, Not sure why maby we should ask Bob.But I have measured and the limbs are centered on the riser.Maby the riser has a 2 fold purpose making it easy to modify for a diffrent limb. The limb anchor holes possibly could be drilled for a diffrent limb.Just a guess .I own three of his bows and like them.

Do Me a favor and don't fix anything.I like mine just the way they are.

It's obviously not a big deal to people Bob. They love your bows! I was just wondering why they are like that. I'm not trying to make trouble...I'm just the curious type I guess. I am real into lines and curves on bows and when I spot something I don't understand I just have to ask.  If the limb to riser thing were flowing together I'd be out a lot more money....  :banghead:
