quick question I am trying to install aluminum inserts on easton arrows.  i have the right size, am deburring but still not slidding in real well.  any hints perhaps heat up arrow?

Just sand the insert a little, they do fit alittle tite.  :)

By the time you heat them to install with hot melt they should push in anyway if they are the right inserts.Never needed to sand anything installing inserts.jmo

What James said! you may not have the correct insert.

Did you use a pipe cutter to cut the shafts?Pipe cutters will curl or curve the end inwards.You might have got the burr,but the shaft still might have a slight curve to it.You might have to reem it out a little.

When the insert won't (slide) right in, I take an old knife and scrape the inside of the shaft in a circular motion a few rounds to get the edge off.  I works for me.

I've used a tubing cutter for years and reamed with the attached tool. Never had a problem getting the inserts to fit...as long as they are the right size.
