well my omp adriondack hunter deluxe  got here this afternoon,strung her up and out back i went. all was well in the universe until i shot  the first arrow...the bow has tremendous handshock ,after about 6 or 7 shots my left wrist started hurting.(bow hand) now i have a big knot swelled up about 3" from my thunb and something feels messed up!
think i shoulda at least got the bear montana,i hope they will accept this "thing" back! i realize it wasnt a expensive bow but i expected more than a possible trip to the dr.s office

The OMP's shock can be tamed with a bit of brace height adjusting. Like you said its inexpensive, but it can set to be a shootable bow.
If that doesnt work it could be what killdeer said?

Also switch to a Flemish string vs using the endless loop that came with the bow.

Depending upon what you paid for it, a home crafter/hobbiest might be interested in doing a re-hab.  More than likely, it can be "fixed."  As a point of reference, materials for such a bow could run about $150, a glue-up for self finish perhaps $250.

A fast flight string would probably help enormously, without any more modification.

well im stuck with the bow    !!! they recomend 6 1/4-6 3/4 brace height,i measure  from the string to where?
im going to give my wrist a week or so,so that gives me time to gather up my needed supplies.
dcm thinks a fast flight string would help,would it be ok to use a fast flight on this bow? if not i will get a new flemish string like badger arrow suggested....HELP!

Get yourself a well made B-50 flemish string.  Not Fastflight.

Adjusting the brace height will help more then anything.  Start with the string low then keep adjusting it up a few twists at a time, it will start getting smoother.  Keep adjusting it up until it starts to increase in hand shock again, and then untwist it to where it is the smoothest.

I can't tell you how it helps (the how really never bothered me, but it is probably a combination of less weight and less stretch) but I have found using a 10-12 strand 450+ with padded loops instead of a 14-16 strand B-50 reduces hand shock and noise on all my bows by around 50%.

Not familiar with that bow, is it possible that you have the bottom limb mounted on the top and top on bottom? that would affect tiller wouldn't it? Adjust brace height and install a set of string silencers. good luck with your bow.
