I have never hunted out west, one day I will but caught some good traditional hunting footage on VS the other night at a place called the Burke Ranch. I don't think its burke outfitters as it was indicating a ranch for 5 day bowhunts.  Would appreciate it if someone  had some info on the place. Just looked like a nice place to hunt where a portly guy in camo won't need a stretcher from lack of oxygen. I don't know how you western guys run up and down those hills.    :bigsmyl:

Davo, look up the handle Kojak here. Brian has some hunts on the Milk on the old Cottonwood Whitetails place. I hunted there for years with Gene and Barry.

Some of us are booked there for 2010 aready. It's easy to get around there as I can attest :-)

DIY hunt on the Milk River, can it be done?  Not to steal the thread.
What would you attempt to do, if you knew you could not fail?

Never leave the one you love, for the one you like.

I don't think so Horner, mostly private holdings. There is some block management stuff but I'm not sure where....

There is very little block management on the Milk.  What little there is does not come close to the quality of animals you see on the limited access private property.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Thanks for the input guys. I will do a little digging and look up Kojak. I am leaning towards 2010 but may not be able to commit yet. Nice to dream though

Great (?) minds think alike. I saw that show too and even tried to look Burk up on Google with no luck. The young outfitter used a longbow to take a nice buck.  Actually some decent hunting footage on VS for once. Let's go Davo!

hey guys, Burke Ranch Outfitters has a great place to hunt muledeer and whitetails. Their main ranch for whitetails is the same ranch Gene and Barry ran Cottonwood whitetails on the milk.

This place has been a bowhunting only since the 70's and hunting on the milk don't get any better than this place.

happy hunting
