Friends call me Pac

This is the story of Edwin.  He wanted to learn how to shoot a bow.  His father didn't know anything about bows.  He knew that I shot traditional bows and asked if I could help his son.

I'm fairly new at this stuff myself.  I've been shooting tradional just a little over a year now and since there wasn't anyone else to teach Edwin I was happy to pass on what I knew.

I wrote about Edwin's 1st attemp at archery and the link is:

A few monts later I wrote about my student becomeing the teacher in this thread:

Tonight Edwin learned how to fletch arrows.  After finishing the arrows he asked who were the arrows for?  I smiled and told him they were his very own.

Here he is glueing the nocks onto the shafts

He said he didn't like the way the glue smelled.

Really taking his time and making sure it is just right.

His very first batch of fletched arrows.

I've made arrangements with his father to take Edwin squierrel/stump shooting with me.  I'm leaving in a few days to visit my Father.  When I get back Edwin will be chasing squierrels and stumps with me.

I can't tell you how honored I am to pass archery/bowhunting on to a younger generation.  I know I have only shown Edwin some basics and there is so much more to pass on.  I hope Edwin enjoys it as much as I do.

Edwin is doing great.  Good to see he still has an interest in archery.
