I think last year there was a great thread on stand names. Some are named after historic events or kills, some are named by their location. It really cuts down on the long description of where some action took place. It was really good. Post a pic if ya got one.  Let's do it again..

The Yellow chair stand I mentioned above is named after an old fashioned steel lawn chair that sets at the base of a giant white oak on some public land near me. This is one of those chairs like the ones my grandmother had on the front porch and probably weighs 40 pounds and is a loooooong way back in there. Whoever originaly packed that thing in must have had one heck of a workout!

Love reading the names and back stories.

The "postage stamp" stand refers to where the stand is. We hunt a farm with a large rectangular block of woods. In the top right corner there is a small block of woods that juts up and out like a postage stamp on an envelope. Nice and thick in there with lots of deer.
