Have some arrows that need to remove the nocks.I have no ideal what they are glued with.They are wood shafts how do you guys get them off.Thanks for any advise.

Just cut them off with a sharp knife. Try to cut just the nock and not the shaft. Remember don't cut towards Your belly cut towards Your buddy.

I use wire cutters.

Don't know about wood for sure but for alum. a little heat from a torch and a pair of pliers and they twist right off.

One method ,heat the nock until it's a round glob of plastic with porosity holes and while it's still warm (not dripping hot for safety's sake)use a box cutter or sharp knife sticking the tip straight down into the nock until you hit the taper,keeping pressure on the knife so you'll follow the taper cut away from the arrow tip and yourself,on 2 sides of the nock 180 degrees apart this will cool quick and let you basically unwrap the nock from the taper,good ventilation is suggesteg,GOOD LUCK if you try it this way.

I dipped mine in boiling water for about a minute, then cut it off.  It seems to come off easier than just cutting.  Bill

After dipping in boiling water you can pull them off with a pair of pliers.

boiling water works extremely well!!!  I typically try and cut the leading edge after the nock is soft before I yank them off.  The less cutting you do though the better your tapers will remaind undamaged!!!

A general rule:  heat softens glue.  Remember that when trying to remove something and ALSO when storing laminated bows!
