Took my younguns to their first 3D shoot today at Boondocks farms. Met up with a good friend (Weedhopper) and had a blast. Here's a few pics from the day...

They was "ON" from the get go   :D

When I see things like this on this amazing site, I can only imagine what it'll be like when my time comes to share this love, passion for not just archery, but the love for family.  You dads are the true roll models.  I'm from Eastern Iowa and this past weekend I went to the rinehart 100 (was ok good experience took awhile...so many people) and until the second day, Sunday the Lord's day, He indeed blessed my part with this youngster.  Probably 5 or 6 years old, he followed closely to his father and other companion as they followed us through the trails sneaking and stalking his potential prey.  This little guy took a shot at the elephant target that was nearly 50 yards away.  He insisted on shooting exactly where his father shot.  The little boy drew back, his dad telling him higher, higher, higher...release...this arrow flew through the canopy of trees hitting numerous branches...when we heard the thud of his arrow hit that elephant (nearly 20 people watching) the roar was enough to make a grown man cry the joy and love you could see in this father and son is what God intended.  I hope someday I have that opportunity with my children and for those grandpas and grandmas, dads, moms, brothers, and sisters, aunts, uncles don't take life for granted enjoy every second of it and take time to tell each other how much they mean to you.  This is why I love traditoinal archery, the entire environment is heart-warming and wonderful.

Pic heavy???  There weren't enough pics if you ask me.  I could look at that kind of stuff all day.  Nothing like that time with the kids.  My son is 21 months old and loves to help me get my arrows and hold when I shoot.  Great stuff!!!!!
