This auction is to raise money for the daughter and family of Leroy "GoldenHawk" Carlson. Leroy was a friend to many, and a person who loved to watch bow limbs bend and the arrows flight. He was loved by many, not just for his personality, his ability to spin a great string, or his addiction to buying, selling, and trading bows, but for his big heart and true caring for the people who make up Tradgang. Sadly Leroy took his own life in May of 2008.

We hope this auction will raise some much needed money for Kayla and Chester, and to honor our departed friend by passing on a few possessions he loved. If you ever had the chance to hunt or shoot with Leroy you know the passion he held for bows and hunting.

The Feathered Shaft and Rick Stillman have stepped up and donated a custom set of Tapered Douglas Fir arrows made to the winners specs.  Rick makes some of the finest hand crafted wood arrows I have seen and you will not be dissappointed.  

The auction will end at 10pm EST Monday August 31st.  The last bid at or before 9:59 will win (just like St. Judes).  Payment can be made by Money Order only payable to Chester Charlton.  You can send payment to:

HI guys, this is Rick at The Feathered Shaft.  I have offered a set of my "Full Dress" tapered Douglas Fir arrows to Kayla Carlson Benefit.  The arrows will be made to your specs with well matched tapered Douglas Fir shafts from Surewood Shafts and finished however you want them.  I have been crafting wood arrows for 25 years and have two PBS Three Arrow Competition wins.  Altho these will probably be fancy arrows, my primary focus is on making GOOD, straight, well matched arrows and I promise you will get my best effort.  Feel free to PM or e-mail me with any questions.
