I got bored with traditional combinations. In this set every arrow has three different feather colors and every arrow is different from the rest in the set.

I'm a fan of two pinks and one gray. They stand out like beacons in the woods.

Flo. yellow cap dip white cresting white cock feather and yellow hen feathers or all white feathers.
Flo yellow cap dip and all white seems best for me.

Flo yellow has worked the best for me as far as visability goes.I normally use all white, all Flo yellow,or a combo of them.Sometimes I mix them with natural turkey feathers as well.

This year I have gone to 3 white 5" shield feathers, black index nock, black and white crest, on a dark walnut stained wood shaft. No cap dip. They look very snazzy, but understated,  and kind of old-fashioned.
They go well with my all-black Bear mag-handled takedown. That is, except for the green spring-arm Bear quiver which I don't want to paint.
I can easily see them fly in any conditions -- a white ball of feathers going toward the target. I use the nock under my thumb to index so I don't have to look at the arrow to get it on the string. That way I can keep all three feathers white.
I was just making up a batch this morning. This batch should turn out to be about 510 gr average with a 6 or 7 grain spread in the dozen. Out of my 50 lb bow they will be just right at a hair over 10 gr per pound. Snuffers up front.
Keep 'em sharp, guys! The season will be here before you know it.

Lime green with a flo green nock. If I can't see them fly I should try another sport.   :biglaugh:

I'm getting 10 in. blaze orange dip with white nock, and 3 white 5 1/2 in. parabolic's.

Also got 10 in. blaze orange dip, orange nock, 3 5 1/2 in. orange barred sheildies.

I need a pair of sunglasses...

Fletcher

Most of my hunters are fletched with all yellow and a yellow nock as I can see the yellow very well yet it has never spooked anything.  I also fletch up a few with all chartreuse and a flo green nock.  I carry one of these in my quiver and it is the arrow that goes on the string when I get in the stand.  The char really holds it brightness in low light for me.  If you want to brighten things up, just paint some white on the nock taper and use a flo green nock.  Orange, red and blue fletch all go dark in low light.

Bear and Moose, something bright tend to lean towards a fluorescent blue or pink, they really stand out against black fur. Ducks Barred green as plain as possible. And my small game arrows get whatever I happen to have when they need refletching.
Just this Alaskan's opinion
