Need to resurect a glove.  It is real heavy leather and has developed a crease.  Lots of life left, and like the style. What product do you like to condition leather?

I like liquid Saddle Soap....shaving cream works also

Nothing beats Neatsfoot oil, in my opinion.

Wal Mart carries a product called Leather Lotion from Kiwi Shoe polish company, I use it on glove and tabs, squirt out and rub in, does great. In the shoe dept. Sam.

Lexol the best IMOP. Use it for years on all my saddles and leather goods.

Fatman suggested what I would, shaving cream. I played ball from pee wee in grade school all the way through my second year in college and used the Barbasoll on my glove nearly everynight.

I don't know if it is the best choice, it doesn't make things waterproof, but it was hard to beat for keeping sweat impregnated leather soft. I never had a crack develop in a glove (I still have every glove I ever played with) and they always were as supple as could be expected.

All the other products recommended are great choices for cleaning, waterproofing and preserving. Might try the shaveing cream to bring it back, then put some of the other stuff on to keep it in good shape.

Just one small problem with shaving cream........it has a very nice strong odor, one reason I quit using it years ago.  I would use Montana Pitch blend, no petro chemicals, all natural.

Pitch Blend, does wonders for all my leather goods!

Get a new glove, I had a super glove develop a crease and no matter what I tried it would come back.

Jim, do you have any idea what I had to go through to make this one fit?  Had to have Gary lengthen it at Sawmill..  :eek:  ..I'm not giving up on it now (he said he wouldn't do it again)..    .

I use Aveno to shave (hypo-alergenic, and fragrence free), it might be the ticket.

That being said, who carries Montana Pitch Blend?

I agree with those who cited Montana Pitch Blend. I believe that Three Rivers carries it and so does the Red Wing Shoe Stores. That is where I bought my most recent supply.

Fiebing's Aussie leather conditioner works for me

Shaving cream is used to open up the pores of leather. You still need to apply a leather conditioner after using shaving cream. I use shaving creme first, then apply Montana pitch blend. Works excellent!
