Help me out guys...a friend just gave me (what I believe to be) some old MA-3 heads.  I'd like to use them this year for the nostalgia and to honor that friend.  Here's the problem...right now they are so dull I can squeeze them in my fist!!!  What's the best method to sharpen these to a hunty-ready head?

Thanks guys!

oops...typo...I meant a "hunt-ready" head.  LOL

Elksong

I sharpen mine much like you would the Wensel Woodsman or Snuffer(do a search, there has been alot of talk about it on here).  They are shapped a little different so you have to follow the line of the head, but they sharpen up nice and hold an edge very well.

SCATTERSHOT

stroke with a file across two blades at once. When you get them sharp that way, strop on a piece of cardboard back to front, same way. The blades are made in such a way that the cutting edge is actually two pieces of steel welded together, but you can get a pretty good edge on them nonetheless.

Like Elksong and Scattershot says; but after the file and before the cardboard I use diamond stones.
