I'm away from my bows for a week and was wanting to place a string order with Chad Weaver. Forgot to do it prior to going to the airport.....

I think that the string length on a 64" Critter Gitter is 61", would someone be able to measure this and either post here or PM me. My brace height is 6 7/8 if that matters. I just wanted to be sure before I had Chad twist me up a couple of strings.

Thanks for y'alls time.

David
Hunting with the bow and arrow involves earning your way by making meat, getting your hands messy in the process and then recognizing your own reflection upon them.

Standard is usually 4 inches shorter than the bow length so a 64" bow would take a 60 inch string.  Not sure if your bow is different but I doubt it.  The string making guy should know.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

If the bow is marked to AMO standards the string will be 61" long stretched. Many bows are not marked that way now days however.

Thanks guys, I was pretty certain that it was 61" but just wanted confirmation.

On a longbow= Bow length - 3" and on a recurve it is bow length - 4". You need a 61" string.

My 60" recurve takes a 57" string and my 64" longbow takes a 60" string. With today's bows it's best not to assume!

David,

I bet it'll be 61".

My 60" Critter Gitter uses a 57" string.

Mike
