as you all remember, a while back my wife walked in and gave me a large sum of money{1100.00} and told me to buy my dream bow; at the time,i thought that bow was a black widow; it turned out that it wasn't; since then i have been on a mission to find a bow; i tried and looked at every thing that that was made; i have made my decision;{this is where it gets crazy}

my decision is the bear montana; i already had one and have killed alot of animals with it; after all of the searching, i decided to buy another one, just 5 lbs less draw weight; it's a bear montana 50lb draw @28 inches;

go ahead and laugh{i did} but it trully is a bow that fits me very well and just seems right; i have taken the money that was left over and bought new arrows,broadheads,a new gps,new boots,a new and bigger tent,2 more dutch ovens,a new coat,some long sleeve shirts and socks;

there are other bows that are alot better and alot more elegant, but i am happy with my choice and just wanted to share with all of you; thank you and blessings from above;...  :campfire:

I love my bear montana.  I did have a dream a while back I found a Black widow at a pawn shop and it shot like 30fps faster and was rediculously accurate.  This was just a dream and I was a little upset when I woke up because I got that widow d@#$ cheap.  I like to keep a hunting magazine by the bed and read a story before I go to sleep, I have had some awesome hunts in my sleep over the years.

Sounds like a good plan to me!  Wish my wife would give ME a large sum of money to buy my dream bow; I've got my eye on another TallTines...

Seams you put a lot of thought into it.If it's the bow that fits you that's all that matters.Look at all the other goodies you got with it.

Wouldn't have been my pick but I'm glad you are happy. I always say "Buy what you like and you will be happy with it. Buy what you are told and you will come to hate it." Which one do you think you will shoot better?

A wise man indeed.  I'm shooting a '67 Shakespeare Necedah, and have a '61 Bear Polar in the wings.  It's not the cost of the bow, or fancy woods, or anything else superficial that makes a proper weapon.  It's how that bow works for the shooter.  That Montana is pretty much bomb-proof as well.  Good choice.

Only thing I'd have done differently is give my wife the money left over after I bought the bow. Would have told her to buy something she wanted.

Pat B.   you nailed it!!!
 Barry, The bow you are the most comfortable with is the best choice. That is one thing money can't buy these days!

Awesome, nothing crazy about it at all. Some folks spend a lot of money to find a bow they can shoot really well and never find it. I love my Montana as well, a real shooter in my hands. Thought about selling it now that I have a few bows but I just can't, shoots to well for me! Like George said, its BOMB PROOF! Congrats!

ain't never about the bow - it's all about the bowhunter.
