There is no such thing as a bow "spec".  There's the spot where a bow and arrow work together, and then there are untuned setups.  That's it.  "Specs" are suggestions, not natural laws.

Sometimes you tune the arrow, sometimes you tune the bow.  Bottom line, you tune the pair to work together.

Hey I'm not going to claim to know more than you guys.  Won't go there.  My bowyer gives me a "suggestion", then.....regarding BH.  Would I deviate?  Sure.  But, not enough to make the bow noisy or less desireable to shoot....just to tune to an arrow.

I don't mind tuning arrows to different bows.  I only have 2.

GMMAT, you asked me how, friend.  Of course you select a 45# bow and a stiff 250 carbon, the relative ends of a spectrum.  Think locigally.

The original question, was about shooting one arrow with different length bows.  Simply...you tune your bows to that arrow if that arrow is already in that spine area.  They didn't ask about spining very stiff shafts to light bows.

You can actually do more to a bow, than an arrow, to accomodate this.  It can start with simple string adjustments, and go to stick on, or even adjustable rests with plungers, etc. That's tuning the bow, and is not complicated nor unattainable.

George....there's ONE place (BH) that my bows like to be shot.  They're quieter, there.  They "like" that spot.  I check it, often.

I couldn't imagine compromising that.....to attempt to tune to a certain arrow....when adjusting the arrow is an option.

Sounds like you've found what works best for you Jeff.  Each person is indeed a little different in their approach; shows you how much one can present themselves into this sport and still do it well.   I love it.  Shoot well friend.
