just got my new samick red stag and my 2018s are kicking to the left noticably they are 29 and 3/4 from back of point to nock valley but my ce terminator select 45/60s that are 29 and 3/8s fly pefectly. is there maybe a stiffness problem with the 2018s and how do i fix it. or is a fletching clearance problem? any help is greatly appreciated. the bow is 50@28 and i draw to around 29.  thanks Aaron

Yes, your 2018's are most likely too stiff for that 50# bow.  Try 2016's or try adding weight to the front end.  The problem with this will be having an arrow of 11-12 gpp which is approaching the "heavy arrow" category for shooting over 30 yards.

Aluminum arrow respond to point weight changes.  Try going up in weight, from 125 to 145 or heavier.  Bill

I agree with the assessment that the 2018 is too stiff.  Adding point weight may help weaken the shaft, but 2016's will likely tune much easier.

The other difference in the CEs and the 2018s may be shaft circumference.  Depending on how the riser/shelf is cut, this could impact your tuning.

Four 4" feathers and three 5" feathers have almost the same amount of surface drag, so this probably would not account for major differences between your two shafts assuming the combined weight of the feathers is about equal on both arrows. That said, everything impacts tuning...and weight added to the tail of the shaft will have a stiffening effect.

You mention that the 2018 kicks left...does it also hit left at the target?

Just re-read your post about the four fletch with 5" shields...that could certainly make a difference in terms of comparing both shafts all else being equal (which in this case it isn't!).
