My thesis is that trad bowhunters are good stewards. And my guess is that many of you are like me; while out on your scouting trips and hunts if you come across a can or bottle or other piece of trash in the woods you grab it, stuff it into your pack and toss it when you get home.

This year I am going to toss it all into a box and at the end of the season weigh it and report to y'all on the final take. I might even post a pic of the most interesting pieces of junk I drag home. I thought one or two of you might want to join me in this and see what the final collective tally is.

If you're into it, drop me a PM and I will add your name to my list of folks to poll at the end of the season on your final total. And feel free to post a pic or two of the most elegant junk along the way to this thread. Either way, happy hunting!

Yeah, I pick up trash wherever I find it.  My 80 parallels a dirt/gravel road and I usually collect a large garbage bag of cans, plastic bottles, you name it, each spring on that 1/2-mile section of road.

Last year I picked up no fewer than 6 flip-flops and crocs (shoes) on the Little River in the smoky mountains while fly fishing. The most interesting thing I picked up was a pink, button down dress shirt with a silk neck-tie. Pulled that out of a small rapids running through a secluded part of the park. Some corporate guy must have had a melt down and raced through the woods stripping as he went...
