hi,
does anybody have any advice on blinds.
the ones i have seen are all a little small for me, or end up being really expensive.
i am 6'2" and shoot a 70" bow, and also not much selection up here.
thanks
wayne

Double Bull. Expensive but worth the money.

Double Bulls are excellent, no doubt. This is the one I've used successfully for the last few years.

I've been very pleased with Yukon Tracks Enforcer Elite  - I think its 80" tall.  Google it and you'll find it.

I love my yukon enforcer elite. Plenty of room and I can set it up and take it down with ease. And the price is very affordable compared to the double bull.

Love my Yukon Enforcer Elite as well... and it only cost me 150 TMD

I bought the new Yukon Tracks Enforcer Elite with the Adrenaline camo. That camo has a lot of depth. I really like it, really blends in with hard woods. I also checked it with a black light--no UV shine. I've not hunted from it, yet.

wayne, check out cabelas website.  look at the "predator den" blind, it is made by primos who make the double bull blinds now. i was in one at the store and the quality is awesome.  looks very similar to the expensive dark horse and i actually like the preadator camo better.  the best part is its half the $, i think it goes for 150$

What about the Penthouse blind from, I believe, Ameristep? I borrowed one from a friend a few years back and had all three of my kids in it with me! You could shoot standing up in one, also. Less than 200 bucks too.

How is the material in the Yukon, comparable to say... doublebull or the other brands? Jason

horatio1226

The Yukon Enforcer is a heavy nylon material. I have 3 and love them, Easy up and down and plenty of room. Shoot through screen on all 4 sides.

I'm 6'4" and use nothing but Double Bull Matrix "Recurve" models when blind hunting with longbow or recurve.  The additional vertical space is crucial.

I'm a fan of Tree, biggish.  Sit next to said tree and don't move around.  They tend to be somewhat heavy, but I find them all over the place and rarely ever try to pack one in or out (though sometimes my pack feels like that's exactly what I'm doing).

On the Yukon can you unzip the mesh or do you have to shoot through it? Jason

Don Stokes

Jason, you can do either.

I have owned a few blinds, the only one that didn't scare deer is my DB Matrix 360. DB is worth the extra bucks IMHO.

Ameristep Penthouse is a nice easy set blind. Good for one person

The new Yukon Tracks Adrenaline has long buttons to hold the mesh and curtains. It also has strong magnets to configure the curtains in a lot of configurations. It is really sweet. However, it doesn't have the camera ports any longer, if that is a concern. I'm certainly not going to say this is the best blind out there, but I was not able to find one that I liked better. One of the better things about it is the low windows so you can easily shoot while sitting. And as I said before, I really like the Adrenaline camo.
