This is the bow of a buddy of mine.  He has used this bow, and only this bow, for 13 seasons.  This is what he has taken with it!  Pretty strong evidence of what can be done, by shooting one bow and shooting it well!

Quite an accomplishment.    :notworthy:   I am interested in knowing what he uses to mark his bow that doesn't wipe back off?

There must be some pretty liberal bag limits on deer where he hunts or he hunts a lot of states! 63 deer in 13 yrs.!?

I think that the brand of bow is pretty irrelevant.  I will say that it is a one piece recurve.

I'm not yanking anyones chain!  This man has killed close to 300 deer with a bow.  Many of the early ones were with a wheelie bow.  That's 63 deer and 9 hogs if you don't want to count them.

was just curious, also did he give the bow a name? must have earned a name for itself!

Nothing boring about knowing your weapon and killin' a bunch of stuff with it!

I could easily hunt with one bow for the rest of my life and be very happy   :)

Same here. A saying in the Military was ."Beware the mans who owns one rifle" Somthing to be said for that.

Yeah, i know all about that one bow stuff.  My bud for 30 years since college shoots a Caribow featherhorn.  He shoots lights out!  i shoot one bow today...tomorrow, somebody like Larry posts a Centaur, JD posts in January he is making a KajikaStic 3 piece take down longbow, RER starts a longbow/recurve combo, Bob Morrison starts making longbow limbs for his...Marty starts making bows...Charlie has a longbow i want, what is a person supposed to do???    ;)

Perhaps that story tells us more about your buddy's skills as a hunter than it does about the value of using one bow or multiple bows.  I was told several times in the Army that a true warrior can fight with any weapon that comes to hand.

Snag,

Welcome to the south, buddy!  Liberal limits on deer are a long-standing tradition.  THankfully, they are starting to limit buck harvests some.  You can still kill two buskc a day legally in Florida.  You used to be able to do that all over the south.  Up until a few years ago the legal limit for daily hunting in ALabama totalled over 175 deer.  Currently in Georgia you can kill 12 deer a year (10 does and 2 bucks-one of the bucks has to have at least 4 on one side).

If he was hunting in Georgia, he left a lot of tags unfilled in 13 years!    :saywhat:

I am pretty sure I know who owns that bow.  Never met the man, but I would love to.  I hear he is a master and I am sure that I could learn some things from him.
