These are the latest from my shop. Sorry about the pics as I'm no photographer. Both have vertically laminated bamboo flooring for the inner lams with a red woven glass accent stripe. One has stained curly maple veneers and a East Indian Rosewood riser 63" and 48#@28". I like to put the black/red/white micarta in all my longbow risers as well. Tips are micarta topped with rosewood. The secoond one has black glass front and back with western diamondback and elk antler. That one is 60" and 52#@28".

Appreciate the compliments gentlemen. I plan on taking the curly maple one to Compton's with me this weekend. A loooong ride but 4 of us will be sharing the driving and gas cost. I'm really looking forward to the event. Leaving early tomorrow morning.

As far as the 63" goes I'm still getting a feel for "making weight." In that case I was shooting for 64" and 48 - 50#. I needed to reduce the length a bit to get the weight I wanted. Really no big deal since I make the strings and the bows are just for fun and friends. I'm very pleased with the way they shoot.

Nice to hear from you, RC.

Marty, if you ever get a chance to do a buildalong to show how you did the flare in your last riser I'd love to see it. Just a thought.
