howdy fellow hunters..i have an update on the 2010 elk hunt to share with you all.i have a much better area in mind.i have been checking into this area and have gotten great feedback from several reliable sources.there are abundant elk and muley populations some big meadows and water supply seems to be year round.this area is called snow mountain and the highest point is 7100 feet,relatively smooth area not to far from delintment lake(our original destination)...blacktail bowhunter and i are going scouting this weekend.of this i am pretty sure...i will post pics of this area and see what we all think.........larry

No complaints.  I'm getting on a plane in a week headed to Australia to chase goats with Clingish.  I'm totally pumped and it will be a great warm-up for September!  Life is good!

The hunt is planned for central Oregon in the Delintment Lake area, which is in the Silvies unit (I think), it's an over the counter tag.

Snow mountain is a fairly popular area...Drop off the east side in the big holes...Thats where they will be after opening day.....

We killed a nice bull in the head of Alder Creek years ago (1987). The last time I was down in the Snow Mtn country it was crawling with humanoids!

we'll have to see i guess,i'm planning on hunting the area a couple days this season.hope its not overcrowded.if it is then maybe not a good place to go eh.
