I am thinking of trying a set of limbsavers on my silvertip and was wondering how much difference in noise I would notice and if I did not like them how easy they are to remove and would they hurt my bow finish. Thanks  Bob

I have removed two sets from different bows. if you start peeling them up gradually and slowly, they won't hurt the finish, in my experience. I don't know if they really do any good, but to me they're ugly as homemade soap, and I just don't like the looks of them.

Shoot me a few bucks for postage and I'll give you a set .

They do make a differnce on my Daala. I just don't look at them.  :D

You should not need them on a 'tip. Look elsewhere for the solution-like arrows too light, string too fat, brace etc.

I used dental floss to remove a set on a bow that I bought used.

Get some bow hush and hush puppies for it. I have it on the original I got from you as well my other two. Will defintely make a big difference for you. Stay away from the limbsavers..too much weight. Hope alls well.

Put the savers at the end of the fades..lightly! Shoot the bow and move them up and down 1/4" at a time to find the "sweet spot". Then press them in firmly. They will still come off, when needed, without maring the finish. I was scepticle at first, but after I tried them I was hooked. I was amazed at how much quieter my bows were and how much smoother they were after the shot. The gains outweigh the "non-trad" apperance(which I didn't even notice after a few shots)

Well I like the way they look.  :D  Those mushrooms are chick magnets as well.    

Limbsavers help with limb vibration and you can tell a difference if you shoot light weight arrows.For guys that shoot real heavy arrows you might not feel or hear much difference on some bows.I use them on all recurves and most longbows that I shoot lighter weight arrows from.I feel it helps protect the limbs during dryfires some as well.

Thanks for the advice. I will try some hushpuppys and bow hush before I try the limbsavers. I guess I am trying to get it longbow quiet.  BOB
