after working till noon on saterday I went yard saleing at a town wide. evrything is usually picked through by then but figured i would try my luck. very first stop the guy had misc hunting stuff so i asked if he had any recurve bows he had two hanging in a shed one he said is is wifes and didnt know if she would sell it the other one his sons it was a little bear lefty i bought it then he took down his wifes ive never seen one before it had wood limbs and a metal handle i wiped off some dust on the limb a WIDOW so i gave him my number hoping for a call. next stop a guy with nothing but crafts i asked if he had any recurves anyway.yup in the barn out back it was a mint bear kodiak hunter 45@ 28 he realy didnt want to sell it but made a offer he took. no luck at any other yard sales but there is another Town wide close buy coming soon.

I killed my first traditional deer with a recurve I bought at a garage sale for $10. Cool finds!

I found a Shakespeare Wonderbow Necedah 58"@50#  with a bear 3 arrow holder, springy rest, and sights in great shape for $8 and next door a Hoyt Deviator compound bow hardly used for $20.

you guys are lucky to have such good yard sales. if i found any bows over here it would be like finding hens teeth. and ya know how hard it is to find those

I "hate" you guys...never found one at a yard sale.  But on a call-in show I did ask if anyone had some old bows they wanted to get rid of.  Found one for $25 I sold for $125.  Wish I could do that every weekend.

I went back to get the widow today she said she didnt want to sell it so i threw out a offer she said yes then she told me she had a extra set of limbs. its a hf 34@28 the other new limbs were still in a package 56@28 glad i went back.

Saturday I found an old Ben Pearson BPH-52 serial#7329 and 50@28 and 52". I will make a string and see how it shoots. In great shape! I had to pay $6 for this treasure.
