Anyone have some experience with these shafts?

I bought a dozen. They fly great and I was very impressed with them.  However I won't ever buy them again because the only reason I like carbons over aluminums or wood is the fact that they are either broke, or straight.  FMJ's bend. It really pissed me off.

I have heard about the bending but have not experienced it yet.  I like the shafts a lot and have only split one at the insert while stump shooting.  I also shoot CE Heritage shafts and IMHO they are the toughest shaft on the planet.  I really like the small diameter of the Axis shaft and they fly very well outa my A & H.

I have some coming to try.

Should I use the BH collar?

I give them a thumbs down. Carbon and aluminum together?  If you want an arrow that bends, use Aluminum. If you want the strength of carbon, then just go carbon. JMO.  I've tried the mess of arrows out there. I'll stick with my AD HAMMERHEADS.

I think most people get them for the weight and diameter they are 11.1 GPI which is nice, they Fly really nice. BUT they do BEND and BREAK I bought 6 to try, My intention is to shoot them at known distances in safe areas away from breaking probability, LOL if they work well I'll hunt with them.  If not No Big Loss.. The down side.. They Are COSTLY.

I love the FMJ shafts. I have never bent 1 but have taken antelope and elk with them. I like them best because of how well they pull out of 3D targets. I do not use BH collars with them.

i really dont think easton had trad shooters in mind when they made these arrows.  they will bend--to me they are a backwards version of the acc arrows--they bend too.  these arrows were meant for compound shooters.  for trad. get all carbon like the axis, gold tips, beeman, and many others to choose from.  i shoot the cheaper gold tip carbons and they work fine.

I have used them for a few years and have never bent one.  In fact I've only managed to destroy one.  Funny how we hear they bend but they're the same as an ACC except they have the aluminum is on the inside.  Nobody complains about them.

Like'em or not aluminum is straighter then any carbon, pull far easier from foam targets and man do they penetrate!

I'm a beginner (been into archery for only two months now) and I got 6 as a gift and I really, really like them.   Sadly 3 now have a slight bend in them.  Of course, if I didn't miss so much it wouldn't matter, but I won't be buying them again.  I also have gold tips and the only one of those I've ruined is by hitting it with another arrow, and they're a lot cheaper.

Seems like the opinions/experience are 1/2 and 1/2.  I am looking for penetration (smaller dia.) and I do like about 10 grains per pound.

i love them they have to be the tuffest shaft a round i have always had great penetration in fact i think i have only had a couple not pass all the way through with my long bow i have not bent one yet but i have with a compound what sucks the most if you miss they burry realy easy

On hard impacts they will bend at the rear of the insert and you can't see if it's broken inside(assume yes)or just bent.They also flare behind the point.I prefer to be able to visually inspect for damage. No more for me.
