I shoot split fingers (one over/two under).  I put the arrow under the nock.  I was wondering if any of you put the arrow over the nock, and if it makes a difference.

Howard Hill shot with the arrow above the nock.  Allowed him to get the arrow on the string a little quicker.  I knock under because I sometimes leave an arrow nocked in the bow which I sometimes hang next to me.  Arrow will stay in place if nocked under the nock that way.  It will fall off if nocked above the nock.  In terms of shooting, makes no difference.

If my index finger is against the nock of the arrow, i get a sore finger so I nock below and don't quite touch the nock.

There are several variations that can be done using this tutorial.

I prefer a nocking point that's below the arrow nock. The reason being that most often an archer is prone to putting top finger pressure on the arrow during his draw. This can actually cause the arrow to move downward on the string slightly.

A slightly low nocking point will cause poor arrow flight while a slightly high one won't.

In my case the "nocking point" is just an indicator that helps me find the right spot without looking. The double serving (above and below the nock) forms the actual nocking point (the space in between) and the arrow can fit no other place.

I nock under the point and it helps to make sure your top finger doesn't touch the nocking point and move or bend the arrow.

Both.  One over the nock, one under.  This allowed me to lower my NP form 3/4's to about a normal 3/8's.

I shoot 3 under so I like to put the nock above the arrow. I start with the nock at 3/4" and tune from there. With wood 11/32" shafts I find 3/4" is about right...with the thinner carbons I end up at 5/8" with my recurves. It will depend on your bow also.
