I had to cut the 150s I bought down to the minimum and can only use 125gr or less points. I am shooting a 60" McCulough Griffin longbow 50@ 28".  I draw 29 to the back of the bow but have to add another 1/2 inch or so in order to clear my bow hand fingers.  I'm guessing that puts me at about 53#s of draw weight.  Never would have thought I would need 250s on such a light bow.  Does this all sound normal?

The 250's will shoot out of your bow but I believe you will have to load them pretty heavy up front. I have shot 250's from a similar setup but needed  250 grains on the front end.

I shoot 250's out of a 54# at 28 Tomahawk SS drawn to 29 1/2. 30 1/2" with 100 gr. brass inserts and 175 or 200 gr. points. I don't notice any difference in flight for the 2 point weights.

My finished arrow is 675 gr. with the 175 points and 3 5" barred feathers.

Great Plains SR Swift. 52@28 and my 250's have 250 grains up front. I draw 28 1/2 and cut the shafts to 30". This gives me a 650 grain arrow.

Loadin up the front sounds good. I have the 150's and 125 grains up front cut to 29 inches.I draw 55lbs@26.5 and they fly really good. They come in at 505 grains. Let us know how they fly, I have been wanting to try some of the high FOC stuff.

Man those 650+ers sound devastating!!!  

I can't shoot them with 175 up front (on my 52# bows) ...using 30" arrows.

I shoot 250's out of my Griffen that is 57# at my 27" draw. My arrows are 28" with 100gr brass insert and 200gr tips. Arrows weigh 610grs and fly great. Love to hear them whack the target, rock it back and forth and then struggle to pull them out !!!

I also shoot 50#@28" bows and draw 29".  I agree that you will need to go to 250's if you want to shoot the heavier points.  I shoot 30" to 30 1/2" arrows with 175-250 grain points, depended on which bow I am shooting.

Shot the 150s today and no dice.  Can't cut them any shorter.  At least when I can't go any shorter my buddies can.  They shot great for him so he bought them from me.  What kind of brass insert do I use?

The 50 & 100 grain brass weights are made by Goldtip and screw on the back of my regular Carbon Express inserts. I loctite them to the insert, allow to dry, then superglue the inserts in.

I shoot 250s outta my Foley longbow (52#) and my BW-SAIII (56#). I leave them 31" long and add 50g of brass to the 150g points.

My Centaur is 53#@32" and I shoot CX 250 Heritages(full length) with 225grs. up front. Fly like darts. God Bless, Dave

Crow creek recurve 54@28 cut center. My Draw 29. CE250 cut 30" 5"fletch, 100g brass insert and 125 tip.  I use the same arrow for a 49@28 I have. I shoot fast flight string on both.

I used the dynamic spine calculator that has been posted and bareshaft tuned using OL web page.
Never could get the 150 to work but the 250's are right on
