Fletching glue ?

I am a wood arrow guy and use Duco for fletching over poly. I recently got some Easton legacy aluminums for backup. Is Duco going to work OK on the Legacys or should I use something else?

I tried it once and did not have good luck, I did not clean the shafts, so that may have been the problem. I now use Fletch Tite Platinum and wipe the shafts with acetone before gluing. Bill

fletch tite platinum, or one of the ca super glues will work, not sure about the duco.

Duco will fail. Platinum is all-round best.

I did the same,I used Duco on some aluminums,it didn't hold up.I would be shooting and a feather would fly off.I use duco on wood with poly but use Fletch-tite Platinum on everything else,haven't had any problems.

Another vore for Fletch-tite Platinum. Used it on aluminum, vinyl wraps, carbon. Never a failure.

Gel super glue. Does a fletch in about 20 seconds, available everywhere and cheap.

if you use a really hard helical like I do, then leave it clamped up for 2 hours per feather when using the fletchtite platinum.
also, I prep my shafts with the bohning preprite shaft cleaner. I use this on alum or carbons before crown dipping or before fletching with no crown dip.

John,
I shoot Easton Legacys and have found that Bohning Fletch Tape works great. I do put a drop of Fletch-tite Platinum glue on the front and back of each fletch. The tape works great and holds up as well as any glue without the mess and is super quick to use.

Duco failed me. Fletch tape tends to let the feathers crawl in the quiver. I had gel superglue fail. I just bought two tubes of Fletch-Tite Platinum, and so I will see...

I prep my shafts with either acetone or denatured alcohol, depending on how pessimistic I am.

Wraps work wonders.
