Woodsmans weighted at 225grains and Grizzly 160s

JC

I may have any or all of these in my quiver at any one time, typically in this order:

300gr Extreme (my main head now)
125gr Wensel Woodsman weighted to 200gr total
160gr Snuffer weighted to 300gr
160gr Stos weighted to 300gr
130gr Pearson Deadhead weighted to 200gr
200gr Simmons Interceptor w/bleeder

All of them kill; I've got complete confidence in any one of them. Usually I choose which head I'm going to shoot first on a whim.

This year I'm going to try Snuffers, WW, and Zwickey No Mercy single bevel. I am really wanting to try the single bevel on hogs.

125gr Stingers for screw-ins.  125gr Zwickeys or STOS for glue ons.  They have all worked for me.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

new archer here...  I am practicing with 100gr field points.  Should I switch to something heavier?  Doesn't look like anyone shoots with less than 125gr?

Thanks, gents.

Bowhunting is "KILL and EAT" not "Catch and Release".....Semper Fi!

tcw....yeah...100 grains isn't really a lot of hardware.  Most of the heads we use are heavier and are reusable over and over again.  I have one Zwickey that I've killed 14 deer and one hog with.

Like Terry said, the 100 grainers don't have much steel.  I normally shoot 125 WW now with 125 grain steel insert.

175 grain Abowyer Single Bevel Brown Bears weighted to 217 grains with a 100 grain brass insert.  I think it still may be on the light side for these Michigan whitetails...

150 grain Zephyr Scirocco's, with the bleeder if I can get them sharp, without if I can't.

No Sasquatches this year, Terry?  I though you liked those foot-wide broadeads...

Jeff...I did kill my biggest deer with a Sasquatch...and will likely use them again in TX later this year....with the bleeders....but I will have the Z 4 blades as mainstays as usual.

Gehrke145

Snuffer 160grain with 100 grain adaptor, also have magnus 1s and grizzlies but shoot them at elk.  I'm uping my pounds and might shoot snuffers at everything
