I hate the nocks that come with the CX Heritage carbons and I really like the classic index nocks on my POC arrows and going to give it a go on my Heritage 150's. Has anyone tried the nock inserts/classic index nocks for carbon arrows? I just put an order in and wondering what you think? pro/cons or any tips.. lets hear em'!

Thanks!

Haven't tried those, but I throw away all of the nocks that come with the CX's and use Bohning Signature nocks instead.  Pretty similar to the classic (they have a bit more snap), and they slide right in.

I had them on some CX 250's,worked great, had Bohning Classic index nocks. The con is you can't rotate the nocks for tuning or remove them to add weights behind the insert. On my CX 150's I replaced the nocks with Easton 3D Super nocks, they have the widest and deepest throat of the push in nocks I have found.I use this nock in my other carbons and aluminum with uni-bushing.On some of my carbons I like to be able to add the weights behind the insert for tuning instead of just using the heavier brass inserts.

Joe,
I'm with you I hate the nocks that come with the Heritage arrows. I started using the nock adapters when they first came out and haven't looked back. In my opinion it's the only way to go. Now I can use the same nocks on all my arrows. By the way I also use Classic nocks.

Hey Joe, I prefer the classic nocks also, and bought some of the adapters a while back to try.  Liked the idea, didn't like the result...

The CX 150's that I shoot are actually just a hair less than 5/16" OD, and there was a bit of overhang on the adapter/shaft with the classics.  A guy could probably sand the bottom end or somehow modify/collar the nocks to fit better, but it seemed like to much trouble to me.  Just my opinion, FWIW...

I use Easton Hit insert epoxy. If I mess up one of the adapters, a little heat will take it out. You have to be so careful with heat and carbons.

I don't like the nocks on gold tips either they are just to tite.  I had my string reserved and they are still a little snug.  Will those carbon express adapters fit in a gold tip 3555?  I expect they will because I think they use the same brass insert on the other end.

I have used them with 9/32" nocks on Carbon Express.  I believe they'll fit GT's okay, but there is a difference between the two brands of about 2 thousands of an inch, so they may be a touch sloppy in the GT.

I have never used the nocks that come with any carbon shafts. Always use the adapters and Classic nocks without problems. I have used hot melt to install them as well as Power Bond and JB Weld.

I have RMSG install Easton "S" nocks on all mine.  I just bought 2 doz to use as replacements, also.

Well I got the nocks and inserts in yesterday. I glued the nocks onto the inserts and pushed them into my Heritage arrows. I was surprised on how tight they fit, on 5 of the 6 /i installed I feel there is no need to glue them into the shaft, a great fit. The 6th one was a bit on the loose side and thought about finding something like lock tite thats a bit on the sticky side to keep it snug. I'd rather not glue them in if at all possible. I tell you what they sure do make a big difference on the noise factor, sure are quiet coming off the string. No more sanding nocks for me, I'm sold on the inserts!
