Finally found one that was calling me. 62" Purist 47# @ 28" with locator grip, exact match to my Vision Falcon. I had a Martin ML10 for a while with a straight grip and never liked it. Bad part is waiting on the mail man! I don't ever see any Robertson's around here except mine but I did shoot a Purist a few years ago and have wanted one ever since. How are you liking yours? Sure would like to order a new one someday but I figure if I keep buying the used ones then the seller can order the new bows. Where is the mail man!!!!!!

West'; I also like the Robertson Purist. Dick now calls it the Primal Styk;  I just sold my 64"er to order a new 66"er.  I've had a few of Dick's Purists and the early Bighorn Ramhunters and shoot them well.  Not enough experience on any others as these two are what my idea of a longbow is. I hope to have mine by the end of the summer.  I'm sure the bow will meet all your expectations.  Dick's been building fine bows for a long time.  Good luck and touch base with me when 'she' gets in..............Shick

WestTnMan, the reason you do not see many is everyone loves theirs and keeps them for the long haul. Dick has been building them for a long time and it sahows. Flint

Yup, Dick knows Longbows! I got and older Mystical and a Vision LB thats a couple years old. They just love a heavy Ash arrow. I shoot them the best of all my LBs.

Congratulations on a great find.  I'm very confident that you will like it.   :banghead:

Great Bow, I have 2 and another coming any day, 1 Purist and will be 2 Over Drives when the other arrives. You can't go wrong with a Robertson!

Long as I can pull this bow
Long as I can hike the hills and walk among the trees
I keep on trying
My goals are high but I don't care
The fun is in the getting there, it justifies the end
So try, try again

Waiting on todays mail. What brace height did you start with on the Purist? What are you looking for when you set it? On my recurves I adjust brace height until it is shooting quiet. The last long bow I had was quiet at most any brace height. What am I looking for on the best brace height on a longbow?

Before I made my own I had one and was my #1 go-to bow.  My bow design is a cross between a Robertson Purist and a Meland Pronghorn.

I have one of his  longbow and a recurve, I like them both but are a little heavy to pull for me now. I am saving them for my son. He keeps jumping from compound to recurve. I might string the longbow up now and shoot it.

Well, I finally got it. What a nice bow!! Bummer is I had it delivered to work and all I can do is sit here and look at it. Should have brought some arrows with me. Dick makes a beautiful bow for sure. Will be shooting tonight for sure.
