I really like the way this one turned out.  The body is slightly tapered, laced and tied together with thongs which are left long as fringe.  Beaver fur inside and out at the mouth, the reinforced bottom is lined with shearling.  The stiffener is burned and the front of it was wrapped in fabric before being laced and tied on.  The strap is leather over doubled-up heavy fleece.

This one is in the Sponsor's classified section

I'll get pics of the other two I'm working on up tonight.  One has/will have beaded borders on red flannel and the other will have fully beaded panels.  I'm ready to start the beading on both of 'em    :)

Thanks guys!  If I'm not making a quiver for someone I get to play around with different stuff... keeps it fun  :)

The next two are coming along nicely and are my take on two classic designs.  Here's the body of the first out of a heavy moosehide

The top and bottom are getting wrapped in a dark red flannel with beaded strips as borders.  Should be around 4500 beads stitched on when done!  I'll probably accent the seam in the quiver with some quilled stitching too.  It's going to look fantastic.
I'll get a pic of the beginnings of the second up tomorrow.  That one will have two fully beaded panels and should finish up with just over 7000 beads stitched directly to the leather!!  A bit crazy, but something I've been wanting to try for awhile now... Bob Walker letting me borrow some books for inspiration pushed me over the edge.  Not sure if I should thank him for that or not! LOL  :D

Jeremy,

You have a PM about the moose hide quiver.

Winterhawk1960
What if you woke up tomorrow, with only what you thanked God for today ???

Here's the basic pieces of the third.  It's hard to see what all is going on here with the quiver laying flat, but there are two leather panels with fringe at both ends on the quiver body.  Both will be fully beaded between the fringe.  The mouth is wrapped in fabric with lace whipstitched over it.

Great looking quivers...can not wait to see your latest two.

Jeremy

The beading is going slower than I thought it would on the first one, but I'll get a pic of the upper wrap up tomorrow or so.  It's looking good so far  :)

The top wrap is well under way

Beading the fabric is taking longer than beading leather???  Wouldn't have guessed that!
