OK GUYS,I WANT BOTH OF THESE BOWS BUT CAN ONLY GET ONE AT THIS TIME.PLEASE GIVE ME SOME FEEDBACK .

I have one of each, a 56" Cheyenne 47# @ 28", and a 62" ACS 42# @ 28 with AL riser and love 'em both. The Cheyenne is easier for me to shoot but the ACS is so smooth and at times amazingly accurate. Would you go Morrison recurve or longbow? For pure hunting I would pick the Cheyenne, for 3D and targets the ACS, altho some of that is because of length.

hey Rick thanks, there is a cheyenne on this website that is a little heavy for me but i would buy it if i could get it for 800.00. The bow is only 3 weeks old.I havent made him an offer because he really wants to get 950.00 for it.

Sometimes $800.00 in the hand is better than $950.00 in the bush, it just depends on the seller's circumstances. Maybe he's reading this thread!!

chuckbow

I have a Morrison Shawnee 64" 54# @28 (B) riser low grip, it has the carbon foam limbs it's a real shooter. But I just got a new A&H one piece 64" 54# @28 I think its got a little on the the Morrison speed wise. I don't think you'll go wrong with either one of them. But my 3-D bow is a Kevin Gerlock 64" 53# @28 double carbon, I'm really lucky, I have three bows that are real shooters, Good Luck

Are you talking the Shawnee with the LB limbs. Now that is 2 bows I would like to try, own, maybe someday.

The Whittler

I was refering to the ACS-CX and Shawnee with lb limbs.

I have both. ACS CX 64" 55@27 and a Morrison Shawnees/Arrapaho limbs 56" 56@27. Both smoke an arrow and are quiet. My ACS is aluminum riser and is a bit heavey but absolutely dead in the hand and 3-4 fps faster(not noticable except w/chrono) Can't go wrong either way. I have the "A" riser Morrison ans can go back and forth between the two easily.

Steel

I have had two Morrisons a Dakota longbow carbon foam limbs and a Cheyenne 56" bamboo recurve.I also have 54" recurve carbon foam core limbs on order at this time for the Cheyenne. I can say my Morrisons have been top notch shooters and construction has been second to none. I have a ACS 56" one piece on order also right now can't wait to try it out.

I must say the Morrison Shawnees are one of the best shooting bows I've owned. I won't say anything but this, but shoot them both and you will definately decide.

I have both and each one is great. I personally prefer the Morrison, but other folks prefer the ACS. Try both before you buy if possible. Bob Morrison offers a test drive option. I'm not sure about ACS.

Two fine bows IMO.  I don't think you will be disappointed with either.  I am currently shooting an ACS-CX and have owned one of Bob's Cheyenne recurves with foam limbs.  I like the ACS better, but I think it has more to do with LB vs Recurve for me.  I have not tried a Morrison LB yet.  You won't find a better guy than Bob Morrison and I would think you will be hard pressed to find better quality.  You're on a good track to owning a great bow whichever you choose and I'm quite sure the answer to your question is dependant on the particular shooter.

Talked to Bob yesterday here is what i ordered.

ilf longbow 62in  53@29 Gaboon Ebony with Tulip Flare with white strip through the Tulip. Eastern timberback skins. Cant wait to get it,

joevan  you are going to love it. the only problem you may experience is a second set of limbs sooner than later. Bob didn't seem to mind. A great bow very fast and whisper silent. I just got mine back from Bob and he added bullsnake skins.
