Good idea, bad idea?

Well, spring has sprung, turkey season is nearing an end and i'm bored with the wheels bow again.  Going to continue on my quest to get proficient with this stick and string thing before deer season rolls around.

I'm still wet behind the ears with the trad shooting so let me know if you all think this is a good idea or not.  A few months back I bought some new arrows, fletched them up and rotated all the nocks until i get them aligned the same way.  I'm currently shooting nock vane in (towards the riser) and from what I gather on this site, some say it's great, others, not so much.

At any rate, by doing this, I am now able to let the top left fletching make contact with the tip of my nose when at full draw.  It feels great knowing I've got another anchor point BUT i do have to move my face in towards the arrow ever so slightly.  Not an uncomfortable amount, in fact, it feels quite natural now. Since doing this and not putting the grip of death on the grip, my groups have improved tremendously.

Is this a good idea or not?

Pretty much answered your own question I'd say.

Sounds like its going well to me.

One thing you might try, next time you fletch up some arrows move the fletch back just a bit so you dont have to move your head to the fletch to make contact. Just a sugestion, if you try it and it feels wrong go back to what your are doing.

ok, i'll check that out.  i'm only one notch from the back, which i where i have to fletch everything for my wheels bow so the vanes don't touch the sting but it really shouldn't be an issue with this bow.

Just don't get the fletching back so far that your fingers clip it on the release.
