ok i bought my wife a new shadow long bow from three rivers. My question is that it is marked 40#@28 60"long so i got it at a dicount cause it was miss marked is what they said it is actualy 58" long so how much heavier would it make?

If you don't have a scale, take it to your local archery shop. Mark an arrow at 28" and put it on the scale and draw it to the mark on the arrow. Then you will know for sure.

also, just have her draw it when you get it. If she has no problems drawing it to full draw then there's nothing to worry about.

Probably around 5-6 #,but they surely checked it on a scale when built before writing weight on it.

And what Bisch said!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Seems like if they weighed the actual bow it would be right as marked.Kip

I believe 40# @ 28" would be the same regardless of whether 58" or 60" bow. Check it on a bow scale to make sure this wasn't mismarked also.
