Does anyone have experience with these bows? I have seen mixed reviews.....I have heard that Samick's quality has increased tremendously. I would like to know your experiences.

Thanks,
Jethro

I have the hawkeye bow and like it very much. I did not know they were still making it ???

I purchased my samick hawkeye about 6 years ago. I had all kinds of problems with the limbs blowing up and the ability of samick to send me replacement. It went back to them for 4 times till I finally got one set of limbs that now have been on the bow without problems. I was so mad I cancalled the 2nd set of limbs.I found the reason was they were outsourcing at that time the mfg to you know where ( China )I even got sent two times left hand limbs for a right hand bow, so you tell me how there quality...

Hey Folks,
I don't have either of these two models, but I just traded for a Samick Stingray and I love it !
Shoots fast exactly where you point it, in fact my first two shots were about one inch to the right of dead center bullseye. Shot a little last nite, dead center bulleye, not me mind ya, it just shoots good ! Just my two cents worth.
Oh yeah and the quality looks good.

I'm shooting a Samick Outlander right now and I couldn't be happier about the build quality, so count me as another satisfied customer.  Shoots where I look and very little hand shock.  Pretty bow, too.

I've owned both the Hawkeye and Woodsman, and I believe both have been discontinued.  They both were great shooters for me, but the Woodsman was my pick of the two for flat out shootability, smoothness and in hand accuracy.   Samicks new bows are more individual and not so much copies of another model.  Quality and shootability have improved on their hunting models over the past few years.

I had a Samick Red Stag TD recurve. It was a great shooter and is now in Afganistan with the troops. I also have a Night Hawk TD recurve. It is one of their higher end models and I love it. The fit and finish is top-notch, and it really shoots. I just got another set of lighter limbs for it I like it so much. It's about the quietest recurve I've shot too, as was the Red Stag. Samick has really stepped-up and is putting out nice bows.

I thinking of getting a red stag? It looks like a good bow for the $$ !

I picked up a Sage for my step son and it shoots great. I shot the Red Stag and the Sage and they shot equally good.

Yekrut, I can't imagine a better shooting bow for the money than the Red Stag. I was amazed the first time I shot it. The finish was not custom quality, but pretty nice. The grip feels great, it's fast, and I was surprised how quiet it was. I sent it to the troops, but will most likely get another.
