I shoot a 66' LB 48/28 probably, 30 1/2 draw. Most likely 51/52 lbs...what do you recommend if I want to shoot carbon arrows?????

I have used just about all the major brands out there and found the Carbon Express Heritage and AD carbons to be the most durable.  There are a lot of threads out there about carbons since it is very confusing to set up.  The basic way is to pick your point weight( if you use broadheads ), then hot melt them on to a full length shaft and paper tune without fletching.   I do not paper tune, I just use my sight for straight flight.  Cut the shafts about 1/2 to 1 inch each time you make adjustments.  I am a right handed shooter, my weak spine will go right.  Strong spine will go left and high.  If your spine is too strong for a shaft, correcting it is done by adding point weight.  I prefer a slightly weak spine when bareshafting since the fletching will correct this.  Good luck!!! tapered ad trad carbons come in one spine weight that seems to work for most everyone, including me and all my longbows, from 46# tp 55#.  aside from the ad trads, most other parallel carbon shafting will require some experimenting.  good luck!

I have my arrows set up at 29 1/2 inch draw and cut to length at 30 inch. I use 3 5.5 inch bananna feathers and 125 gr BH or field points. My bow is checkmate recurve at 50 lb at 28 inch and I draw actual 29 1/2 inch. The brand I use is the cheap easton powerflight raw shafts in the 500 spine and or the bemen hunter brand in the 500 spine. If you plan to add extra weight up front with 100 gr brass insert I would then go to the 400 spine....

AD Trads. Pick your poison for an overall weight range by using either Lites, Regulars, or Hammer Heads. Choose your desired components and start with a full length shaft. I like to use a strip of plastic cut from a sandwich bag about the width of your fingernail and long enough to go down the length of the insert and back up the opposite side. Press in the insert and it should hold well for flight testing into medium to light density foam. To remove the insert, clamp the broadhead (or point) into a vice and pull it straight out. Keep adjusting for length until you hit the sweet spot where you have quiet flight and the arrow recovers and flies straight downrange to your target. I normally do this with a fletched shaft and my hunting broadhead shooting from 30 to 50yards.  Once my broadhead is adjusted to fly true at 50yards, all my small game and stumping heads also fly true. Very simple and very effective.
