The question is, how do you convince the wife that you NEED to spend nearly $200.00 on a 6 pack of "Grizzly Stik Safaries" and a 3 pack of "Ashby broad heads"? My wife laughs hystericly for a full minute, then she gets this look in her eyes, that actually scares me, and she says NO WAY.
I guess I can see her point though. For $200.00 I could probably buy enough cedar shafts, dip paint, cresting paint, nocks, feathers, glue, field tips, and grizzly broad heads to last the rest of my life time.  :readit:

Man you don't ask you just do it and beg for forgivenes.

Your first mistake was TELLING the wife!    :readit:

If that fails...and she really don't believe you...then run like hell....   :saywhat:

I really like the $10 raffle ticket idea.

Brent Rudolph

Jeff, I'll send you a bow, tell her you got it for 600.00 and the shafts came with it. That should do it. She is a red head. You knew that when you married her.

Me to I like the $10 raffle ticket thing...
We as archer's must keep it alive by helping others into the sport WE LOVE.

Thank goodness I don't have THAT problem!

She's right.  Build em yourself.  You don't need no stink'n store bought arrows to effectively take game.

xtrema312

First no arrows are worth being dishonest to your wife.    :knothead:  Good thing you have a sensible wife to keep you out of trouble.  I could see it if you were hunting Africa or some dangerous game of some type, but if that was the case I don't think $200 would make her take much notice.

Let me tell you a story about a good friend.
His wife once told me that she always knows when he buys a new gun (which was often).  I asked how do you know?  She said " when he gets home after buying a new gun he always comes into the house quietly through the garage.other wise he comes in the front door.  She got 1/2 of them in the divorced.

The first rule in life is......."it is easier to get forgiveness than permission"

But...... got to agree with exrema, ain't nothing worth lying to your wife about, and... it's not what you shoot it's how well you shoot!

Got to have a back up plan. Jewelry, shoes, new purse, or a day at the spa w/ the works..... I can only hope when I die, my wife doesn't get rid of my goodies for what she thinks I paid for them. LOL.

My problem is that my wife is tighter than the bark on a beach tree, she won't hardly spend a dollar " I guess that's a good thing" but when I orderd my silvertip, she like to fell backwards! o'well you only live once! but, don't lie because 90% of the time you end up getting caught anyway! HA! Jason

if you really need arows you shouldnt be looking at the kind where you can only aford six and only tips for half that.    smart woman she probably doesnt know much about trad equipment but still can tell it is way over priced

WESTBROOK

There's only a handfull of critters on this earth that would make use of one of them $30 BH. Guess if I could afford to hunt them I could probably afford the BH too.
