I've never been accused of being overly smart. I don't get it???

You'll notice the "luckiest" elk hunters have worn out boots.

Folks have been rummaging through their treasure caves all night, and if that ain't hunting, I dunno what is. As for the hundreds of man hours this has incurred, one staggers to realize what that would cost a patient on the couch. My traditional Easter dinner of hassenpfeffer got burnt as I battled the dust bunnies for hidden items of questionable identity. Thank goodness for burritos, the dinner you can scarf with one hand while you plow through boxes with the other!

I have to turn on the afterburners now, and jet on off to work, but I will be right back at it when I get home. I hope I don't make too many mistakes, misdelivering Ed McMahon's missives is entirely too easy when one has not slept.

I saw one on Antiques Roadshow, I think.  It was either that or one of those other things.  Finest example the expert had ever seen.  If he had it in his shop it would bring lots of money, but for insurance purposes, it's probably worth more.  You just never know in today's market.

This is pretty funny--I went to download a photo of the item and it didn't work. I'll try to describe. It is a black plastic arrow holder, sticks to the outside of the bow w/ self-stick tape, the part that sticks is about 2 inches long, 1/2" wide and has holes in it. A very thin plastic cord has a gripper for the arrow on the end. When you pull the arrow back, it lets go. I think I saw Denny Sturgis using one on some video tape. Does this help?

Ahhhhh! Those things. I have one. 3 rivers sells them. Is this what you're talking about?

For hunting to have a future, we must invest ourselves in future hunters.

Well so much for my monopoly on that business venture.

Too funny!

Wow, that's a complicated contraption... a matchstick and a rubber band do the same thing  ;)

Except the matchstick bursts into flame when you shoot...... no, the 3 rivers one doesn't fit as well on a longbow riser.

Just took a case of them to the dump!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

No, it's NOT a Sta-Jac. This one is 100% plastic, no metal like the sta-jac.
