does your state have broadhead restrictions ? like no expandables,no heads with removeable blades.

We gotta have broadheads at least 7/8th inches wide, and they can't be under 1.5" long.

For bowfishing heads, we can't have more than 2 barb on the head.

I wish but Michigan just legalized crossbows this year...yippie frickin skippy...they ought to just allow shoulder mounted rockets and RPG's.

Yea they legalized em in Virginia a few years ago too. With some of those crossbows they make nowadays, it takes the whole challenge of hunting with a bow out of bow season. Some of them look more like sniper rifles than crossbows. Oh and I think the only bh regulation in Virginia is they have to be 7/8" wide.

They can not pass through a hole 7/8" in diameter and can not be barbed

7/8" minimum diameter in IL and WI.

no mechanicals in oregon. Similar size restrictions. can't remember if it's 7/8 or 1 inch width.

Pa's restictions are no barbed heads and 7/8" cut. Also all cutting surfaces must remain on the same plane throughout the cutting surface.Ed

Virginia Archery Season Laws  
•Archery tackle (including crossbows) only.
•Decoys and blinds may be used.
•Broadhead widths must be at least 7/8-inch wide or expand upon impact to 7/8-inch.
•Bows must be capable of propelling a broadhead arrow at least 125 yards.
•Unlawful to have a firearm in possession (see exception for concealed handguns).
•Unlawful to use dogs when hunting with archery tackle during the archery season.

I believe most states that have a broadhead width standard have gone with 7/8 inch.  I have read that this was the width of the Case Kiska broadhead.  Roy Case was an early pioneer in archery and an avid broadhead mfr and developer.  One of his heads was called the Kiska and that became the standard.

Basically every state is 7/8" min,no barbed heads,no explosive tips,no drugged tips.

VT has no "special" regs that I'm aware of.
