the coolest thing that anyone can do for another has happened to me. what im about to show you is absolutely one of the coolest bows ive ever layed my eyes on. about a month ago batman invited me to his home to shoot with him, but before we shot his range we shared a little show and tell. well he had a little more to show and tell than i did but thats not the point.he showed me some really cool bows. and then he showd me this

this bow is actually a coalition effort by two people. a master bowyer by the name of ....justkidding , a master bowyer by the name if john strunk and batman.batman had told me that he had perchased an elb out of yew from mr strunk and was interested in building one. so mr strunk sent him this bow which was marked out for the handle and the string nocks and the overall shape

well to go further into the story i had called batman and asked him mor information about this bow. which is what i had just conveyed to y'all. this passed sunday batman had invited me to a local shoot. batman had introduced me to his sons and his grandson. all of whom are a pleasure to shoot with.i wish i had brought my camera for that shoot , it was a blast.especially since batman and john dill where goin at it in the 12 ring again

Thanks for sending the link to this thread, Don. I remember "broketooth" - a few years ago he sent me an e-mail (got my name from somewhere)and after a few archery related exchanges he came (from New Bern) to a shoot (or two) our club (now defunct) held at the Flatwoods range in Hubert, NC. He was very enthused about trad shooting and I enjoyed shooting with him in our group, as I recall. For some unknown reason to me/us I/we never saw or heard from him again - until now - LOL. So many troubles or other interferances can happen in personal lives, unbeknownst to other folks, as we all are aware, that change plans/interests. Nothing wrong with that, and there is nothing we can do about what we don't hear about, of course. The only reason I bring it up is to say, "I  do  remember him," - and "Hello, again, broketooth."    :wavey:

It doesn't surprise me that Don gave you the Vine Maple bow he made - Don, is that kind of special guy. (It also doesn't surprise me that he and John were belaboring the 12 ring - those poor rings aren't safe with them two around. Now, me, I'm a lot less "selective" and tend to shoot the less used portions of the targets    :archer:

Sorry Bernie...I miss spelled the word.... "ass".(LOL)   :D

That's right, Don,  you are still "baby sitting" that one arrow that "escaped" my "Eagle Eye" at the target butt at your place, aren't you? That actually was one made by Art Butner (of WV) for me though. Mine work well too but are never as pretty or as fine as Art's.

(That explains it, John -   )
