Selway I think It Is has a bolt on attachment quiver that mounts where your bolts are for your takedown bows. Anyone have one of these? Any downfalls?

One more question. The quivers that slide over your limbs and attach to the upper part of the limbs, In your opinion Is there any chance they rob your limbs of performance?

I haven't noticed an appreciable drop in performance when using my Eagle's Flight. Just put it right up at the fades.

The quiver should be mounted in a non-working portion of the limbs and thus not effect the cast at all. I don't use a bow quiver on my self bows because it throws the balance off. On my Treadway bow though, I did use a slip-on Selway and it improved the stability of the bow for me.

Could limb quivers effect takedowns more being takedowns are designed a tad different?

I have a Selway bow quiver that bolts onto take down limbs bolt onto the riser. Since I no longer own a TD bow maybe I should sell it. But it served me well when I used it. Now I have stopped using bow quivers all together because I like to shoot a bare bow. I also felt that with the bow quiver on and full of arrows I was screwing up my fletchings when I had the bow in its case. It's the law here in NJ to transport your bows in a case. I also like shooting bright fletchings and felt that evry time I moved the bow I was advertising my position each time I moved. I witnessed this while hunting with another Trad Ganger who likes to use bow quivers and bright yellow fletching. I now use a Cat Quiver II when I go out hunting. It hides and protects my fletching and keeps my broadheads away from my fingers.

I've never used a Selway, but I've been using a Great Nrothen quick detach since 2003. It comes with little block that go under the heads of your limb bolts and allows you to take the quiver off and put it back on without removing the limbs.

The quick detach eliminates the only potential down fall I can see with limb bolt quivers: the need to remove your limbs to either put your quiver on or take it off.

When it was new there was a slight squeek when I drew the bow. I solved the squeek with some bow wax where it bolted up to the riser. After that it made no noise at all.

At Eagle's Flight Archery we started the ultra-light weight bow quivers that are becoming popular. They won't noticably change the balance of your bow or how it shoots, in addition to being easy to put on or take off of your bow.

We now make a full range of 3 and 4 arrow quivers in 5 different styles and 4 different size hoods. They are available in limb wrap, limb bolt, and side mount options. Also, they are available in the standard two piece, or our new one piece, two point "Totem" system.

Weight can be a factor with a Selway, don't get me wrong it is a great quiver, but it is a little heavy, and will have more of an effect if you have a loose grip.  Eagle's Flight Quivers are also another great quiver, you loose an arrow or two, (depending on the model chosen) but they balance well on a bow.  Eagle's Flight is deffinately worth your time in looking into, before making a commttment on buying.

I ended up ordering the bolt on Selway just because It held more arrows then the other ones. Great looking quivers 2fletch, I just wanted a tad more arrows In the quiver otherwise I would of ordered one of those. Thanks for replying with your info, I'll be sure to pass It on to others.
