Black Widow Bows!!!! It's a shame we keep putting up places to spend the American Dollar in. Like Coffee shops, stores,  Strip Malls, ,Malls etc etc. We should be putting up places to MAKE the American Dollar in like  FACTORIES! How many acres of Farm Land are we loosing every year?    :scared:

I tried to order some field points and broadhead adapters a while back from one of the biggest trad archery supply houses in the country. I didn't have thier catalog handy so couldn't give the guy part #s. He didn't have a clue what I was talking about, long story short I asked if he knew anything about archery and he says "no I'm just hired to take orders and don't mess with any of this stuff."

After 10 minutes of trying to discribe what a field point was I was so discussed I hung up....

It definitely gets tougher every year to find made in the USA products. I'll throw in a vote for Day One camo. Does anyone know of a Bean hunting shoe style boot made entirely in the USA?

WESTBROOK

The Bean Boot is but thats a about it.

Most people could careless where its made as long as they can get it for a dollar 2.98.

Guys I guess its up to us....start here and now , support our American products , pass the word let others know. America needs YOU now more than ever!....

Marco....Mongols were using recurves thousands of years ago.   Guess who won the last Olympics?
How about Canada (ChekMate)?  Scotland (Border Bows)?  How about the imported woods for bowmaking?  How about all the plants used for medicines that come from tropical rain forest?

Let's keep in mind that we can't operate any longer within our own shores.  We just need to balance the trades....not eliminate them.  If we lock the borders, only the rich will be able to afford archery in a short time.

It's always good to support the USA manufacturers when possible...but be careful what you wish for.

I agree! Im gunna make sure my next work boots are made in the good old USA.  Anyone know of any coveralls that are made here? I didn't see any on the day one site.    God Bless America!  -Chris

George, those are great products I guess you named , but when something is good or great being made in the USA , then turns to crap and goes overseas , I dont like it. I understand checks and balances , but when products are inferior or just dont cut it that bothers me.Whats good will stand on it own...too many things that use to be made here , good things, are moving other places, I dont like it. Just my 2cents, whicj aint worth nothing here, but in China maybe 4 cents..  :)

There is only one answer - you could not afford it.
It goes far beyond archery, the computer you are working on, look at your house and take everything out that was not exclusively made in the US....
You might find yourself sitting on the floor cooking over an open fire.
You dont have the raw materials and the labour costs are way to high.

It goes into everything in modern day living, you might have to end up riding a horse to work, if you have something left to work on. The modern office can not operate without imported equipment, will be way to expensive.

Cost is the main reason why the manufactoring is taking place outside the country, companies like even Xerox that I work for had to make their products cheaper or not survive, still some of the best printers on the market but if you can buy a fax machine for $40 from China and send only 1 fax a day, are you willing to buy one for $120 to send that same fax???

I agree with the quality side of what you guys are saying but quality costs more and you can spend more on your favorite hobby(Archery)but not evrything in your life.

My Border Black Douglas cost me 900 pounds(British) our microwave cost me 40pounds and is 4 years old but thats life.

Spend on what you love, the rest you just have to deal with.

bayoulongbowman

No sir, there comes point where quality means something , I never said I had problem with things made overseas, good things that hold up, like computers and such...but when it goes overseas and use to be made in America and is inferior, thats where I draw the line , God bless America ... :)

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.
