I know Compton and Grayling but other than that I am blanking out. I know Tomahawk has a trad shoot but I looking for the larger ones. How about a little help?

Tim Fishell

Here ya go.  Not all of these are as big as others but the main ones are Compton, Great Lakes Longbow Invitational, MTB shoot in Grayling, Elm Hall.

We must go beyond the textbooks, go out into the untrodden depths of the wilderness & travel & explore & tell the world the glories of our journey

A buddy of mine was telling me where to look on the site. I appreciate you taking the time to do this.

The Great Jashu

I am surprised more guys dont come from out of state to the Grayling event MTB puts on. It takes place at Hanson Hills, which used to be Bear Hill. The Bear Museum used to be located there. To me its "holy ground".
No hunter should feel guilty for killing a deer that doesnt meet someone else's expectations.

I'm a fraud!...I signed on as a fake just to hock my wares!!!

I hear ya Jashu but you have to remember that until last year you had to be a member of MTB to attend.  Hopefully now that that is no longer the case we will start seeing more out of state people attending.  It is a great shoot.  One of my favorites for sure.

Gotta add the Bunny Stomp to the list of great shoots, or at least there's the bunch of great guys that show up.

The Great Lakes Longbow Invitational is an awesome event. Plenty of camping room, 3 28-30 target 3D courses(non competitive)a good amount of vendors and bowyers, lots of stuff for the kids to do, a night shoot, several very fun competition events,as well as the historic Charleton Park village.

A great all around event.

MTB's annual gathering at Grayling is also a tough to beat family archery event. I missed them both last year due to my work schedule, but both of these events are well organized, and a great time.

The camping at either can be anything from an RV to a tent or tipi. The  smells of many campfires, and an untold amount of food cooking over the coals can't be beat.
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......
