Best way to sharpen them is to send them to Ron at KME and pay whatever he wants.
Forget about a file, diamond is the only way to go. If you are going to do it yourself, you need MAJOR time and patience. A proper low speed, water cooled, power sharpener,with a jig would be the ticket. I made a jig to hand sharpen (posted this last year)on diamond plates which works well but time consuming. Many people give up. I did not. Copy the Ashby advise.
Some have used a power sander (like a belt sander) but if you heat/overheat them, they are ruined.Without power, consider 2 hrs a piece required without the KME jig.

2 hours!!! With a file you'll get em sharp in 15 minutes.

I bought a low speed wet wheel with a stone and leather wheel which works great. They are very hard steel for sure. You wouldn't need it if you don't change the profile. If you keep the angle it comes with, then a file and diamond stones would work well. I have never seen a file get broadheads as sharp as a honed and stropped edge.

About 15 maybe 20 minutes a piece for me to get one sharp with the right file and a strop. It may take a little time to learn the skill, but if you follow the Doc's method and use the right tools, you can get it down with a file and not have any problems.

If sharpening isn't your thing or you have difficulty with them, Ron's sharpened Grizzly and Tusker heads are outstanding and a breeze to touch up and keep sharp.

Worth every penny to have Ron over at KME give them a once over.

The only method I've seen work properly with a file is to clamp the file to a work bench and then hold the broadhead parallel to the file. Run the point of the broadhead towards the handle section of the file. Use a new file and it takes of more metal then you'd ever get the other way. Don't be afraid to apply some pressure either. There's a thread on this site someplace with pics which demos the correct method. The filing method does work and it works well, ya just have to do it correctly.

Does he sell them or are you saying send them to him? I am at the point where I wanna toss them. I can't beleive how tough it is. I can sharpen knives and two blade broadheads but this single bevel is a whole new game. Why would you not put an edge on your product before shipping it out?
