Africa! Particularly "Black Death" aka the cape buffalo. I grew up reading Rouark, Jack O'Conner and Hemmingway. The dream of the "Dark Continent" is still with me after nearly 50 years. Though not really practicle nor are the days of old Africa still with us, yet I'll never loose the dream....

If you cut up your wife's french leather purse to make a tab, does that make you a redneck?

Horner

Maine Moose, if I ever draw the permit.
What would you attempt to do, if you knew you could not fail?

I'd love to float one of Alaska's rivers for a couple of weeks hunting moose.

Horner I'm with you on the Maine Moose. I was stationed there in the early 90's saw quite a few while deer hunting. You can't believe how big they are till you get close to one!

Muley Deer is what I have dreamed of hunting.  Too old, and out of shape for Dall Sheep.

Moose here in Maine, if I ever draw a tag. Other than that, a moose float trip in Alaska with my buds. We've been talking about this one for years, need to make it happen before we all get too seasoned to do it.

A cabin in the mountains for a couple of days and a mountain full of goblers sounding off at daybreak. It would also be nice to have a stream full of trout in the afternoon for some flyfishing.
A good steak for dinner topped off with a little sour mash, and a good cigar, probally a Ashton.
In fact I'm going the first week in May.

Dall Sheep this week.  It changes weekly.

There are four animals that I would like to kill....bison, elk, mule deer and pronghorn. Having the time and resources to make it a one hunt deal over a couple of weeks would be ideal. Until then I still need to kill my first turkey and would love to get an arrow into a coyote before he is gone and the arrow passes where his vitals were.
The best things in life....aren't things!
