Anyone shoot one? Are they quiet? Hand shock? Quality?
I been shooting 4 fingers under and certain 62"-64" bows are dead quiet that way and others not so much. For example, my MOAB and Toelke are dead quiet with 4 under. I'm also gonna try a 62" Mojostick when JD gets one glued up that I can give a try.
I was wondering if anyone has shot a 62"-64" Buffalo Bow using 3 under, since that's essentially the same?

4 under? Wassa matta you? That is weird. ( No offense intended but  it is highly unusual-most people find that the  pinkie doesn't want to participate.)

i have and they shoot great.  the grip reminds me somewhat of a black widow and the beaver tail grip feels great.  i shot several and all shot good, but i am more of a full locator grip style shooter, so i may get him to build me one in the future to fit my wormy hands.  the bows are beautiful with no shock and quiet as a mouse with me shooting 3 under.

I shot Big Jims bows at the SC state shoot. very nice bows. Big Jim is properly named as well. he's a mountain of a man. I shot the coon shoot in his group on fri night and he was the only one who could pull his arrows from the little coon targets. I may be wrong but i think he was shooting 97lb ? lonbow . DB

Tell me the truth, if you have seen the McDonalds commercial of the big guy sitting in his garage eating a fish sandwich, and there is a mechanical fish singing on his wall, tell me that guy eating the sandwich does not look like Big Jim!
All kidding aside,Big Jim is a great guy, very good sense of humor, and is an honest guy to deal with.
and.........I never stop!

I tried 4 under after reading that Art Young, of Pope and Young, shot 4 under. I'm not sure if that's 100% correct, but it's what I have read.

Older archery photo's like the ones below made me curious. After trying it, the pinkie isn't really involved, but it does make for a much more relaxed hand, with less tension.

I asked Dan Toelke about 4 under because I'm going to have him make me another bow someday and want to make sure the limbs are best for that and he said that he knew several very good 4 under shooters. He also said that it won't matter much on his bows because the weight is still mostly on the top 2 fingers and that all 4 under vs 3 under may do for some is take tension out of the hand, but that that is key. If it takes tension out of the hand, go for it.

Big Jim seems like a great guy and a good businessman.  His bows are pretty, well made, and shoot well.
