heres my first attempt at fletching spiral flu flu arrows please give advice suggestions and comments thanx

I like them.

I have and do on some occasions wrap two feathers on a single arrow. It will give you more drag to slow the arrow down faster . I also know guys who will run them through a burner after fletched to lower the profile of the feathers. Think its a personal like/dislike thing.

Looks good.    Now you need to find some crows to try them out on.

By winding them against the quill like that they will really slow down fast and are very noisy also.  Try winding down the quill and I think you will find they still slow down faster than the 4 or 6 fletch full height flu-flus and are quite accurate.  Also if you keep your quill to no more than 5/16" separation on the wrap I believe that you will find they fly better.

I only tried them on a few shafts and could not get good flight. The fletched end would corkscrew in flight, maybe a spine issue. they do look cool.

Those look pretty good to me.

shot my first spiral fletched flu flus today and fletcher the arrow maker was right on they where extremly loud and flew like they had brakes on them. they also flew to the left all the time i will try fleathcing down the quill ithink ihave three left ill see how those work.  hard to focus on target with all those feathers by your eye lol

You need to use lighter spined shafts for flu-flus.The drag they put on the arrow stiffens the spine a lot.If they are not shooting right it is a good chance it is because they are too stiff.Load the front and they will fly better.jmo

Matt, I found I have to keep the spiral tight and load the weight up front. Try it out.
